Strange Question Here

Greetings all

I'm having trouble running Enigma. I've installed it just fine, and when I run it for the first time, it asks me for the CD Key, which is fine. The problem I have is that when I enter the CD Key, it always rejects the CD Key that came with the game.

I don't have any patches installed yet, I'm going to download these in a minute. And I know I enter the CD Key right, I'm not blind and I have great vision (at least I think I do). Anyone have any suggestions, other than returning the game and getting a different copy (which will be a last resort for me)?????

My computer specs (if this helps):

AMD Athelon XP 2800+ Barton (set at 2.19GHz)

512mb DDR-SDRAM

Primary: 60GB Maxtor 7200rpm Hard Drive

Secondary (game installed): 120GB Western Digital 7200rpm Hard Drive

DVD-ROM: BenQ Standard

CD-ROM: BenQ CD/R - CD/RW Recordable/Rewritable

Video Card: ATI Raedon 9600 Pro

Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer Edition

Again, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you ge the key off the back of the cd case or from the card that came in the box.

the key on the case is for online registration the key on the card is for the single player game. I hope this helps

oh amd why do you have your CPU over clocked?

You are well aware that you only got ~36Mhz extra right?

The risk of frying something for that little extra doesnt seem worth it

The XP2800+ Barton is 2.086GHz and Im sure you wont feel any difference if you downclock it to the default speed :)

I'm not too worried about the overclocking of my computer. Had it overclocked for about two months now and hasn't fried....yet. Hasn't given me any trouble...yet. Hopefully it won't. Got about 4 fans in my case, plus a fan bus that controls the speed at which the fans run at, plus Motherboard Monitor that'll inform me if things turn to the worst. But I'll keep an eye out, and if I come back in a month saying "Jesper, you were right", feel free to say "I told ya so!"

Did not realize that there was a CD Key on the card that came with the game. Should have checked into that before hand. Now I feel stupid.

Thanks for the help.
